COVID-19 education & update for our community

A message from your care team at ENT & Facial Plastic Surgery:

The health and safety of our patients, as well as team members at our practice, remains our highest priority during the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. As there is currently no vaccine to prevent contracting the disease, the best way to avoid falling ill is to avoid human exposure as much as possible. For the most up-to-date information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) about this evolving situation, please click here.

That being said, we plan on remaining open to serve our community’s medical needs. However, we do ask that patients adhere to the following guidelines when visiting our practice in order to limit the spread of COVID-19. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this uncertain time.

  • We are continuing to see both existing and new patients on a virtual basis. If you are a new patient, you may meet virtually with one our physicians to discuss your concern(s). If necessary, we can then schedule you for an in-person evaluation and examination. If you are an existing patient, please consider switching your appointment to a virtual visit, unless your physician has determined it is necessary to examine you in-person. Please see the instructions for both Privia and ZocDoc for further details.

  • We continue to ask that only patients being seen for an appointment will allowed to be in the office unless the patient is under 18 or requires a full-time caretaker. This allows for proper social distancing in our waiting area. We are asking family and friends to either wait in their vehicles or stay home.
  • Please wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds prior to your appointment.
  • Please use provided hand sanitizer upon arriving and leaving the office.
  • If you or a close family member is currently ill, please call to reschedule your appointment, if possible.
  • For our allergy shot patients, please continue to call to schedule allergy shots, so as to minimize waiting room overcrowding.
  • When you receive your allergy shot, unless it is a vial test, we ask that you please return to your vehicle to wait out the 15 minutes before coming back upstairs to have your arms checked.
  • Please note that the ban on elective procedures will be lifted as of Friday, May 1st in the state of Virginia. If you either had a procedure canceled/postponed, or are interested in surgery, please call to speak with our surgical scheduling specialists. You may also schedule an appointment with your physician to discuss further.

Please reschedule your appointment and DO NOT enter the practice if you have experienced any of the following over the past 14 days:

  • You have, or recently had, flu-like symptoms, such as fever, shortness of breath, or cough.
  • You have been in close contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19.
  • You are currently awaiting the result of COVID-19 testing.
Wishing you the best of health,
Your friends at ENT & Facial Plastic Surgery
